Money Lock is an enhanced security feature that allows you to lock your account balances within an eligible account. Money locked cannot be transferred or withdrawn digitally, providing protection against unauthorised digital transactions while still earning interest.
By locking the funds in your current/savings account(s), you are adding an extra layer of protection against scams. For your security, your funds can only be released after we verify your identity.
Use the HLB Connect Online Banking to lock funds in your current and/or savings account(s) or increase the locked amount:
- Login to HLB Connect Online Banking
- Under ‘Money Lock', selecting an eligible account under the drop down list
- Enter the money lock amount - Verify details, and submit
Locked funds cannot be used for any transfers or payments, including GIRO and recurring charges.
For your security, your funds can only be released after we verify your identity.
To unlock your funds, visit our branch or call our customer service centre at +65 6028 9800 (Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm).
Locked funds will be released in full by the next working day.
HL Bank Current Account, Savings Account, iSavings Account are eligible for Money Lock.
No. You can lock the funds in your existing HL Bank Current Account, Savings Account and/or iSavings Account seamlessly via the HLB Connect Online Banking.
Locked funds cannot be used for any transfers or payments, including GIRO and recurring charges.
